The donation will have double the impact – 100% of the donations made at Curzon venues will go to The Cinema Museum and will be matched by Curzon’s payments partner, Adyen.

Housed in the former Lambeth Workhouse, where Charlie Chaplin spent part of his childhood, The Cinema Museum is the only museum in the UK dedicated to the experience of cinema going – and it houses the only archive of cinema architecture. The Museum cares for one of the world's most significant collections, celebrating the social history of cinema design and cinema-going.

Where will donations go?

100% of the donations made at Curzon venues will go to The Cinema Museum.

The new 'Buy Our Home' campaign aims to help secure the Museum's permanent future by enabling it to acquire the historic building it has occupied for more than 25 years. Owning the property would protect both the Museum's internationally important collections and the historic Chaplin-connected site for future generations. Every contribution – large or small – will help preserve a unique part of Britain's cultural heritage and ensure that future generations can continue to discover the history of cinema in the very place where one of its greatest pioneers once lived.
