Curzon x Notion | IGNITE - A Short Film Competition
We are proud to announce that Knitting Club, the three-minute short film that won our IGNITE competition, will play before selected features until 12 April.
Curzon and Notion both have a long history of shining light on up-and-coming artists, from Kneecap to Sophie Thatcher. Together, we’re on the lookout for the talent of tomorrow: the innovators and the boundary-pushers. Our inaugural short-film competition, IGNITE, aims to identify pioneers with the potential to shape the future of filmmaking. Whether you’re a budding filmmaker, content creator, visual artist or storyteller in any form, this is your chance to showcase your vision.

5) SELECTION PROCESS
After the Closing Date of the Competition on 2nd January 2026:

- From these, the internal team will reduce the selection to a shortlist of 20 entries (the “Shortlist”).
Review of Submissions
- All submissions are watched in their entirety and given the full attention by the internal team.
- The date of submission has no reflection on our selection decisions.

- The Shortlist will be announced in February 2026.
- The Shortlist entries will then be judged by a jury of film industry experts (“Jury”), as follows:

- All film entries will be anonymised prior to entry to ensure you and all other entries cannot be identified.
- All entries will be viewed by the Jury without their credits, to ensure full anonymity.
Selection of the Winner
- The Jury will then select one (1) overall winner (“Winner”) from the Shortlist by the end of February 2026.
- All shortlisted entrants and the Winner will be invited to attend the premiere, which is scheduled to take place in March 2026. The exact date is to be confirmed, and shortlisted entrants and the Winner will be notified once details are finalised.
- Shortlisted entrants and the Winner are welcome to invite family, friends, and other supporters to join them at the premiere. It will be communicated to the Winner and Shortlisted entrants of how many guests they can invite to the premiere once a premiere date is confirmed.
- However, please be advised that entry to the premiere is restricted in accordance with the highest rating of the films.
