RFF 2026: Transit Times

Set in Chișinău, 1997, six years after the fall of the Soviet Union. Zina, a theatre set designer, her husband Victor, an unreliable artist and their daughter Eva, a gifted pianist, face an uncertain future as the economy crashes forcing their friends to emigrate. Beautifully filmed, with a charming humour and lightness of touch, the vortex of survival sends the family scattering - and their responses to the crisis creates a satisfying drama. The film is beautifully shot byJavier Palicio
